  1. P.S. I’m a SF Giants fan, out here in California–and we love Eli Whiteside!!
    All hail the Fighting Okra!!

  2. Tricia Walker’s “Heart of Dixie” show, as well as the song, is a Southern treasure. I have seen Tricia perform the song many times, and it never fails to move an audience to tears. I’ve lived my adult life in the South, but through Tricia’s “Heart of Dixie” I can feel the confusion and moral conflict of a sensitive white child in 1960s Mississippi.

The DMI at Delta State is a shining example of what’s good about the South these days. Keep up the good work, everyone, and congrats to your director on the award!
